A striping plan (also called a pavement marking plan) is an engineering document that specifies the layout of lane lines, crosswalks, stop bars, arrows, and other pavement markings on a roadway. It’s required whenever a construction or utility project disturbs existing pavement markings and they need to be restored.
All striping plans must conform to the MUTCD, the California Supplement, and the specific standards of the agency that owns the road (Caltrans, city, or county).
Striping Plans We Prepare
After a trench cut or utility repair, your agency will require pavement markings to be restored. We design the restoration striping plan to match the original configuration.
New turn lanes, added travel lanes, or intersection reconfigurations require a new striping plan showing the revised layout with all required markings.
ADA-compliant parking layout plans for commercial, industrial, and public facility projects requiring plan check approval.
State highway striping formatted to Caltrans standards, PE-stamped, and submitted through the encroachment permit process.
